Jokers run this post office. I’d avoid if you want to be treated with politeness and respect. I had a parcel to pick up, I tried 3 separate times during the Christmas period their website said they were open and they were shut which meant I couldn’t pick up my parcel and it was a wasted trip all 3 times.
I eventually got round to picking my parcel up gave my ID and birth name. However because the parcel has a shortened version of my birthname the older gentlemen lectured me about how I need the right name on the package. Despite it being a shortened version of my name and my address on the package and my ID was correct and matched. The gentlemen begrudgingly gave me my parcel and told me in future I need my birth name on parcel not a nickname and that I was lucky like he was doing be some kind of favour 😅 I was belittled by this man and not once during our interaction did the man or women serving me use the words “please or thank you” basic manners which were evidently not used and clearly an alien concept to these two people.
Although I should count myself lucky actually because the person before me in the queue the shopkeeper had lost their parcel 😅

Well, as a customer I found their attitude quite disrespectful and even misogynistic.
I went there to return an Amazon product.
I have been under pain killers in the last three weeks, due to an accident. This, makes me slower in different ways. Yesterday, when I initiated the return process at Amazon, I completely missed the information about a label/qr code. In my slowness, I only realized it when I arrived at the Post Office and the gentleman explained it to me.
I didn’t want to hold back the queue and I offered the person after me, to go ahead with their stuff, while I looked for the qr code in my mobile.
I apologised to the gentleman at the post office and explained that was slow, etc, and had been at the hospital for ten days.
He turned to the person after me in the queue and said: “after that you have to be in a hospital as well.”
So rude! You had to see his disrespectful face! People cannot make mistakes anymore? People cannot be confused? Where is the friendly and the so preached tolerance in this country.
If I were a man, would I be treated differently? No nice way towards customers who don’t act in a”perfect manner.”
Don’t assume everybody who doesn’t follow the usual procedure is dumb or misinformed because it’s not always the reason. And even, if it is the reason, everybody deserves a good treatment.
